Caring for someone with an eating disorder can be emotionally demanding, and when autism or ADHD are part of the picture, this experience can feel even more complex. Caring in Context is a neurodiversity-informed guide developed by the PEACE Pathway to support carers navigating these challenges with greater understanding, confidence, and compassion.
The guide brings together lived experience, clinical knowledge, and research to help carers make sense of how neurodivergence can shape eating difficulties, emotional regulation, sensory experiences, and everyday routines. The resource also highlights the importance of recognising neurodivergent needs regardless of formal diagnosis and provides signposts to further support for carers themselves.
